Workshops & current projects

In addition to our ongoing youth groups, McCreary facilitates other projects and interactive workshops to engage young people in conversations about health and well-being topics that matter to them.
For the 2026-2027 school year, we are looking to facilitate the following free workshops in schools and community-based youth groups across BC:

Taking Pride

A workshop for 2SLGBTQ+ youth ages 12–19 to learn skills to foster healthy friendships and dating relationships. Topics include communication, boundaries, consent, and conflict resolution.

From loot boxes to lottery tickets

An interactive workshop to engage youth aged 12–19 in non-judgmental conversations about gaming and gambling, signs that gaming or gambling might be problematic, and strategies to maintain a healthier relationship with these activities.

Next Steps

A workshop to share back findings from the BC Adolescent Health Survey with young people across BC, and to engage in conversations about the health and well-being issues most affecting youth in their schools and communities.
